Living in small apartments often kills the natural aura of the season. Instead of getting miffed, recreate the spring mood inside your pad. Nothing could be more soothing than waking up to the spring rendezvous. All you need is to let your imagination flow freely. Pick up the stuff that you relate with spring fervor. Here are some innovative ways to bring spring into your home.
Bright Lights
Let there be light in all nook and corners of the home. Be creative with highlights and dim lights. Try to use highlights for the portico and gallery as it will enhance the area without exposing too much. Hanging Chinese lamps can be used in the balcony. Also ensure that the windows and blinds are open during the daytime to let in the fresh air.
Green Plants
Plants help you bring in nature inside the room. Since the spring time is all about greenery and flowers, put ornamental plants in the sitting area. Lush green plants like cochia, palms, maple et al have a positive aura. Seasonal potted flowers also add a dash of color to the entire settings.
Do keep the plants by the window side for adequate sunlight.
Furnishing
Since the mood is all about light and colors, keep the curtains light. Buy the curtain fabric from a renowned shop. Try to go for water prints combination while picking up the curtain fabric in line with the mood. You can buy valences in bright colors like yellow, green and orange. Do not go for neutral and pastel shades keeping in mind the happy aura.
For the bedrooms, opt for soft dupioni silk curtains for a subtle look.
Keep the dining area blue and pink with similar colored curtains and valences.
Colorful Artifacts
Get glass paintings done on demand. While selecting the location where the painting has to be placed, ensure that the area is bright or is lit properly.
Since the colors used in the glass painting are generally vibrant, ample highlighting is also a requirement. Smaller glass paintings look great on the bedroom walls.
Deck up your apartment and welcome the spring in style.
