Improve The Home Décor Using The Old Formula

Posted by jasnav on March 14, 2010

Lets save money and time by following the good old ways followed by our experienced ladies. The rule is to make the most and never throw anything without giving it a reshot.
Colorful Quilts To Keep You Warm

Get sari quilts made out of those old wedding silk saris. It is not only warm but also an elegant. Nothing beats its elegance and royal look when subtle mirror work is done. The best things in life are custom made.

Zari Cushion Covers

You can make interesting cushion covers out of the silk and brocade saris. In case of your Benarasi and Tassar silk saris too, cushion covers are a great option to look forward to. Since the silk material is still intact, get the cushion covers custom made.

Bright Curtains

Instead of buying the curtains, get it custom made. Use your old silk and chiffon saris and get curtains made out of it. Mix and match of different fabrics would play up the room décor. For different occasions, you can get different sets of curtains made.

Sari Valences

Sari valences can be custom made and inexpensive too. You can add some crochet work at the edge or simply make the most of the zari saris. The silk fabric will enhance the look of the curtains.

Tablecloths With A Difference

Use your handloom print and silk saris for making a tablecloth. You can also club them with sequin border. Prepare a design pattern out of the sari’s zari border.
