A Beautiful Saree In Every Woman’s Wardrobe

Indian women are known throughout the world for their dignity and culture. Their traditional dress, the exquisite and beautiful saree adds a unique grace to these personalities. Sarees are as it is beautiful and when some effort is put to make it look better that would be the best costume for women.

Sarees are made to look more beautiful by the additional work that is done on it. It may include any work such as threading, embroidery, cut works, glass work, prints, paintings and many more.

Saree can be designed in many ways for a particular occasion. The most exquisite collections of sarees can be seen in any Indian wedding. The most beautiful piece in the gathering would be the bridal saree. With a background of a bright color and contrast work of Zardosi, chamki, threading and/or glass work, the cloth looks truly exclusive. Silk is the preferred material to make the special saree.

Kancheepuram saree in South and Banarasi saree in the North are the most popular amongst the rest of the bridal guests. Kancheepuram saree are very well known for their pure silk with pure golden and silver threads weaved very delicately to give a rich look. Banarasi saree are the most beautiful saree that can be ever woven, and come in a variety of colors as well. In general, the Banarsi sari may be of lighter material than its southern cousin.

Other than wedding sarees, there are many a beautiful saree that are used on different occasions. Embroidered sarees are the next type of saree on the move, and is popular in the west as dress material as well. Any woman from the age of 20 to later middle age can wear these sarees.

There are many types of stitches that again diversify embroidery. Chicken work made on light mild colored looks really beautiful when it is worn. Zardosi work saree with a light chamki and glass work done on it is the best costume for a party. Of course there are heaps of other beautiful sarees, but more about that later!

Thank you so much for the overwhelming response to my series on Traditional Indian Garments to include suits, salwaar kameez, patiala salwaar kameez, saris and the like.

I am starting a new series on Cushion Covers. Hope you like it!
